Terms and Conditions Effective 11/5/2024
- Total Price: 3 Blind Mice is a Lump Sum Contractor with the State of California. The TOTAL includes the price of the products, taxes, installations, shipping, and unpacking of products as documented on your signed Work Order. Changes to estimated individual line-item pricing may change based on order configurations and will not be directly comparable when changed.
- Payment: Payment is due in full before production of goods will commence. A deposit may be made to secure the price and allow for re-measure, if necessary, your remaining balance must be paid in full at the placement of your order. Any partial payments will delay the order from being released to production. Installation will be scheduled once all items have arrived at 3 Blind Mice and payment has been confirmed.
- Credit Card Payments: You authorize 3 Blind Mice Window Coverings to debit the credit card you provided for the agreed upon amount. Payment is due in full before production of goods commences and you specifically authorize 3 Blind Mice to run any open balances on the morning of your initially scheduled install, or any time thereafter.
- Cancellations: You have the right to cancel within 3 business days, or 5 business days if you are 65 years of age or older. Merchandise ordered cannot be cancelled after this state mandated waiting period as our manufacturers’ production begins at this time. Any cancellations within the state mandated warning period will be refunded within 21 days of written notice by check mailed to the address on record.
- Returns: Our window treatments are manufactured for your home and specifications and cannot be returned or refunded after the state mandated waiting period.
- Suitability: Buyer assumes responsibility for all decisions made concerning the selection of material, color, and style of merchandise purchased.
- Colors: All Colors chosen are subject to dye lot variations. Dye lots will not match future orders of the same product.
- Inspection: Buyer must inspect the merchandise upon delivery and/or installation. Buyer must make any claims for damage within 3 days of installation. Unfortunately, due to the possibility of damage in your home after we leave, 3 Blind Mice can’t accommodate damage replacements with the manufacturer after this time.
- Measurements: 3 Blind Mice Window Coverings takes full responsibility for all final measurements unless provided by a third party or the Buyer.
- Delivery: Buyer has been given Seller’s best estimate of the delivery time for their order based on the current factory production times. Delivery time is a “best estimate” as product availability and production times may change without notice. There is absolutely no compensation for production and delivery delays.
Returned Check or Credit Card Charge: If a check or credit card charge is returned, Buyer will pay 3 Blind Mice Window Coverings a minimum of $45 (and up to the maximum allowed by law) and pay fees charged by the Banks and/or Credit Card Companies. - Security Interest: Buyer grants Seller a security interest in the merchandise to secure Buyer’s obligation to pay the agreed total purchase price. Seller will have all the rights of a secured party under the California Commercial Code.
- Expenses: Buyer will pay all of Seller’s fees and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees that Seller incurs in enforcing its rights. Buyer will pay to Seller a minimum of $150 to compensate Seller for time and travel involved in the event Seller must go to Small Claims Court to enforce Seller’s rights under this Work Order and Seller prevails in court. If Seller offers payment terms to Buyer or if Buyer defaults on any payment, a minimum finance charge of 1½% per month will be assessed on any amounts outstanding beyond the Agreed-upon payment terms. The TOTAL includes the price of the products, taxes, installations, shipping, and unpacking of products.
- The Happiness Guarantee: We want you to be Happy with your window coverings! We provide a 50% credit on any reselect for a product that does not make you sing! (Not valid with any other offers or promotions). Please let us know, in writing, within 30 days of install and our designer will contact you to reselect a product that makes you Happy!
- The Product Guarantee: Of Course, we also provide a Limited Lifetime Warranty should there be any issues with your product. 3 Blind Mice Window Coverings will repair or replace, at no charge, any part of your window coverings found to have a manufacturer’s defect in labor, materials, or workmanship, within 1 year from your original installation date. After the first year there will be a minimum charge of $300 for any in-home service. Our warranty will not exceed the Manufacturer’s Warranty. Some standard, small print does apply:
- This warranty is limited to the original buyer of the window coverings and is not available to commercial or rental properties.
- This warranty does not apply to any defect caused by improper self-installation, alteration, abuse, misuse, or exposure to excess moisture or heat.
- This warranty does not cover normal wear & tear, such as natural deterioration of fabric or strings that take place over time.
- Terms subject to change without notice.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
15. 3 Blind Mice holds a C-61/D52 & D03 Window Covering & Awning License. Any trades not covered under this licensing classification, and required to make the Buyer’s home, installation ready, are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. This includes, but is not limited to, Electricians and placement of Power & Junction Box Locations, Carpenters, Window Installers, Sheet Rock, or Painters. 3 Blind Mice takes no responsibility for the work of any other trade including any companies 3 Blind Mice may have referred to Buyer. Buyer is responsible for all due diligence relating to the additional trades required and their ability to make the site installation ready. If Buyer is unsure of where placements for your window covering brackets, power, locations, tilts, and lifts will be located, you must provide your tradesman the Designer’s contact to document any locations or specialty requirements in your Work Order. If no specific information is provided in the signed Work Order, any costs for additional work, labor or remakes of a product are the sole responsibility of the Buyer.

1. Limited Lifetime Warranty
We proudly offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty on our window covering products, which is transferable to the next homeowner. This sets us apart from other companies, as we believe in the quality and longevity of our products.
- Coverage Includes:
- Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Structural integrity of the product.
- Operational functionality.
- Exclusions:
- Damage caused by improper installation not completed by 3 Blind Mice.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Accidental damage, neglect, or misuse (except for the one-time Oops Guarantee).
- Water damage or fire due to extraordinary events such as floods or house fires.
2. Oops Guarantee
Accidents happen! Our one-time Oops Guarantee provides peace of mind for unexpected mishaps. For the first 5 years after purchase, if your window covering is damaged due to:
- House mishaps (e.g., furniture moving)
- Playful children
- Spilled wine or beverages
- Pet damage (e.g., chewing)
- Other accidental damages
We will replace one shade up to $500 at retail for the lifetime of all shades in your home.
- Please Note:
- This guarantee covers only the cost of the shade, excluding shipping, sales tax, and installation fees.
- A $150 fee applies if you’d like us to install the new shade; otherwise, we can send it for self-install since the brackets are already in place. We’re happy to assist via phone or video call if needed.
- Replacement is limited to one time only for all shades.
3. Motorization Warranty
For our Seaside Collection, featuring Triton Motorization, we offer an industry-leading 7-year warranty on motorization components. Our other motorization options, including Somfy, Rollease, and Lutron, come with a standard 5-year warranty.
- Coverage Includes:
- Defects in motorization parts and functionality under normal use.
- Exclusions:
- Damage from misuse or improper installation.
- Damage not installed by 3 Blind Mice.
- External batteries for items like battery packs and remote controls.
4. One-Year In-Home Service Warranty
For the first year after purchase, we offer a one-year in-home service warranty for our products.
- This Service Includes:
- Fixing programming issues with the shades.
- Initial programming assistance.
- We will come to your home to address any concerns within the first year.
- Exclusions:
- Changing out batteries or charging batteries.
- Programming shades that were not originally programmed.
- Water damage from windows being left open.
- Cleaning of shades.
- Post-Warranty Service Calls:
- Service calls after the first year are charged at $300 per visit, inclusive of all necessary repairs on the first visit or multiple trips between the repair center and your home if required. No additional fees apply unless repairs are not covered under warranty. If we cannot repair the shade onsite, we will remove it for repair at our facility or arrange for vendor replacement, depending on the issue.
5. Dye Lot and Discontinued Fabrics Disclaimer
In the event of a replacement shade, please be aware:
- We will replace the shade in a room with multiple shades, but we cannot replace the other shades if dye lot discrepancies occur. Fabrics and colors can be discontinued, and exact matches may not be available.
- If a close match is needed but is not an exact match, we can offer additional shades for the room at a discounted price to ensure color consistency.
6. Warranty Transfer Process
To transfer your warranty, please email us at [email protected] with the following information:
- Your name
- Your address
- Your email and phone number
- The new owner’s name
- The new owner’s email and phone number
A $50 processing fee applies. We will then provide the new owner with the written warranty and all necessary paperwork.
