Our Process

What you can expect from here.

Schedule Appointment

Your designer will call you prior to the appointment and introduce herself / himself and get a brief understanding of your project. We are interested to know what you have seen out there or what you have been considering. Do you have an event coming up or is there a deadline? Would there be another decision maker that needs to be there for his or her input? Finally we will verify that your address is correct so that we can be on time. If we have done a good job here we have already made a friend over the phone.





Free In-Home Consultation

This is where all the magic happens. Your designer will ask for a tour of you home and to show us what areas you are looking at beautifying. Our highly knowledgeable designers will make recommendations based on several questions they ask. Believe it or not window coverings are complicated, but we make it simple. Once we get an idea of what needs to get accomplished and a general budget for the project we move to the fun stuff, sample selections. This is where you really want the advice of an experienced designer. It is amazing how color and light can change the feeling in a room. We are experts at this. Once you decide on types of window coverings and colors we can give you a proposal for your project immediately.

Finalize Selections

When you give us the approval we go over the details one last time and collect payment. We make sure to communicate the current lead time which varies from product to product and set expectations up front so there are no disappointments down the road. We would rather under-promise and over-deliver.





Final Measure & Ordering

Every Designer has a Project Manager in our office and that Project Manager’s job is to make sure your job goes smoothly and that we over-deliver on our agreed delivery time. You will be contacted within 24 hours where your Project Manager will introduce themselves. Depending on the complexity of your job there may be a check measure from an installer which will happen within a day or two. Not every job requires a check measure. Once final measurements are in the order is placed with the manufacturer and we get confirmation of that order. We check every order confirmation to reduce any miscommunication that might have happened since ⅛ of an inch can make the difference between a window covering fitting or it being too big for the window opening. Once the order is placed the Project Manager will keep you updated just to give you peace of mind that the project is on schedule. If there are unforeseen manufacturing delays we like to let you know immediately as we receive the information.

Installation

Once we receive the product from the manufacturer we get you scheduled for installation. Your Project Manager will make sure you are ready for install and verify whether or not we will be removing any existing treatments. Your installer will arrive and quickly verify your order and what we will be installing today. We will then start unpacking and installing your window coverings. Once the job is complete the installer will show you how to use your new window coverings and go over care and cleaning and address any questions you may have.


