About 3 Blind Mice
Three Blind Mice believes in working closely with our customers. Not only do we offer innovative window treatments, there are many businesses that do. However, we take it one step further and ensure that you will be 100% satisfied with the product and the installation. We won’t leave you sitting high and dry after we sign the contract. We are so confident in that claim that we can provide names and numbers of customers who we have serviced in the past.
Sales Team
The 3 Blind Mice sales team is highly experienced with over fifty years between them. The sales force goes through weeks of training so they can provide their customers with the best solution for their windows. The installers are the top in the industry and each has the highest level of integrity and concern for quality. The customer service team is there to assist and meet the customer needs before, during and after the sale. The customer gets a live representative who will get the answers for the customer. 3 Blind Mice operates on the Sundown Rule, which is: If we don’t have an immediate answer for you on your inquiry, we will get back to you that same day and let you know when you can expect an answer—communication is the key.
Scot Dietz – Founder and President
When he founded 3 Blind Mice in 2003, Scot Dietz’ vision was to build a company that would establish itself as one of the market leaders in the window covering industry. Today 3 Blind Mice is the realization of that vision. Scot has led his company from a small, self-funded start up, to a multi-million window coverings firm. Three Blind Mice employees share in Scot’s dream of providing a quality product at an affordable price. “Customer service, not lip service” is a fundamental belief.
Scot’s business background is diverse. He worked for and managed two multi-million dollar corporations. However, in 2003 he decided to fulfill his dream of founding his own company. With the increased housing growth in San Diego, he saw an immediate need to provide a service he found lacking when building his own new home.
Scot received his B.S. degree in business administration from Southwest Missouri State University in 1992.
O’D McKewan – General Manager
O’D joined 3 Blind Mice in 2003. As General Manager, his responsibilities include team training for consultants and installers, a liaison between manufactures and 3 Blind Mice Representatives, as well as providing technical support for all employees. He has served in many integral roles since the company’s inception – including sales, marketing, customer service and relations, installations and repairs, and trade show coordinator.
To stay current on all aspects of window coverings O’D attends many lectures, classes and conventions pertaining to interior design and product knowledge of interior window coverings. O’D is a certified Hunter Douglas installer.
O’D currently lives in San Diego with his wife Jackie and their two children. O’D is also a Certified Athletic Trainer and is involved with the local Arena Football team, the San Diego Riptide. O’D earned his sports medicine degree from San Diego State University in 1998. In his spare time he enjoys boating and biking.
